Italian police intensify nightlife controls in Marche and Sabina regions

Police forces in the province of Macerata carried out a large-scale operation around Civitanova Marche’s summer nightlife venues. The State Police, Carabinieri and Guardia di Finanza jointly inspected venues, checked licences, closed hours and seized a small amount of hashish from a 24‑year‑old Egyptian‑origin individual. The action resulted in the identification of 60 persons, the control of 14 vehicles and one drug‑related report.

In the Bassa Sabina area, Carabinieri units conducted an extraordinary night‑time service targeting bars and streets. The operation led to the arrest of a young man found with multiple doses of cocaine and hashish, the seizure of further drug quantities and packaging materials, and the issuance of several road‑law violations, including two alcohol‑related arrests and three driver‑license suspensions. Overall, 107 people were identified, 64 vehicles inspected and nine public premises examined.
