Savona Police Operations Identify Over 900 People and Result in Four Arrests
Between 1 June and 7 June, the Carabinieri of Savona Province carried out extensive territorial checks. The operation identified 909 individuals, inspected 481 vehicles and led to four arrests. Twenty‑one people were referred to the judicial authority for further investigation. Specific cases included a 33‑year‑old Albanian woman caught driving a vehicle under administrative seizure, a 34‑year‑old from Val Bormida accused of falsifying a watch repair, and a series of frauds in which five suspects obtained more than €135,000 by posing as financial brokers. Additional offenses comprised a false online sale (600 €), an ATM theft of €500, and various confrontations involving resistance to public officials. The Carabinieri also detained two Swiss nationals for robbery and took action against several foreign nationals for theft, fraud and public order offences.
