Italian police seize marijuana and weapons from teenagers in Lombardy
Police in the Lombardy region arrested two teenagers on drug‑related offences. In Villa Guardia, a young driver was stopped after officers detected a strong cannabis odor; a search of the vehicle uncovered 88 g of marijuana hidden in a carpeted compartment and a 17 cm folding knife. He was charged with possession for trafficking and illegal possession of a weapon.
In Muggiò, Carabinieri conducting a routine territorial check detained an 18‑year‑old from Camparada who was carrying an 11 cm switchblade and a black balaclava. During the same operation a 16‑year‑old from Lissone was found with a personal dose of marijuana and a dose of hashish; the latter was dealt with administratively. All seized items were handed over to the appropriate authorities.
