Italian police seize over 800 illegal items in Venice and Milan‑area raids

In Venice's San Marco district, the Local Police's activity‑control unit inspected a public‑sale stall and seized about 580 illegal products, including hats, fans, masks, portable ventilators, magnets, souvenir bracelets, glass necklaces, knives and lighters. The operation also uncovered missing consumer‑information labels and resulted in a €3,000 fine for the vendor.

In the Lombardy municipality of Sesto San Giovanni, near Milan, the State Police conducted a large‑scale raid in the Torretta neighbourhood. Officers identified 310 individuals, confiscated roughly 630 g of narcotics, seized weapons and other illicit items, and made nine arrests for drug‑related offences and other crimes. A broader sweep in the area recorded 700 people and 87 vehicles, further disrupting local drug‑trafficking networks.
