Italian police bust drug operations in multiple towns

Police units across Italy arrested several suspects and seized dozens of kilograms of illicit substances. In Rossano (Calabria) a 19‑year‑old was detained after searches uncovered 133 g of hashish and additional marijuana hidden in a cellar. In Frosinone a man was caught with 12 sealed packets of cocaine totalling 7 g and a greenhouse containing 16 marijuana plants was discovered. In Catania, a police dog named Ares located a stash of about 11 kg of marijuana hidden among waste and later seized five vacuum‑sealed bags totaling over 10 kg. In Viterbo, a 34‑year‑old foreign national was arrested in a forest area with 160 g of cocaine, 15 g of hashish and €500 in cash. In Camaiore, a 28‑year‑old was found with 160 g of hashish, 11 g of marijuana and €2,000. Additional seizures were reported in Lecce (crack and cocaine), Monza (synthetic MDPV), Gravellona Lomellina (8 g of cocaine), and Bologna where a 39‑year‑old Nigerian was caught with crack and €255. These coordinated operations demonstrate a nationwide crackdown on drug trafficking and distribution networks.
