The Italian State Police, acting with the Rome public prosecutor’s office and the Cybersecurity Service, obtained the blocking of the website cFake.com, which hosted sexually explicit deep‑fake videos of public figures. Victims named include Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, entrepreneur Chiara Ferragni, politician Elly Schlein, singer Laura Pausini and athletes Federica Pellegrini and Tania Cagnotto. Technical analysis placed the site’s hosting infrastructure in the United States, prompting cooperation with U.S. Homeland Security Investigations and the Department of Justice, which pursued a domain‑seizure order under federal law. The Italian court ordered a preventive seizure in November 2025, halting the site’s operation nationwide.
