Italian police issue €47,000 in fines after nightlife venue inspections in Sicily

State police and administrative police units carried out a series of inspections at night‑life venues across the Messina province and in Palermo during the peak summer period. The checks targeted nightclubs, beach bars, and other entertainment establishments for violations such as unauthorised sound‑emission systems, missing licences for musical and dance activities, inadequate food‑storage documentation, and lack of required technical sound‑level assessments. Two venues in Milazzo were each fined €20,000 for illegal noise levels, a bar in Giardini Naxos received a €6,000 fine for food‑storage irregularities, and a Messina club was fined €1,549 for operating without a licence for musical entertainment. The total administrative penalties reached a maximum of €47,549. Police said further inspections will continue in the coming weeks to ensure compliance and public safety during the summer season.
