Lamborghini Temerario joins Italian police fleet for medical missions
The Italian State Police has introduced the Lamborghini Temerario Polizia to its fleet, a high-performance hybrid supercar designed for emergency medical missions. The vehicle, which features a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine combined with three electric motors producing approximately 920 CV, is intended for the urgent transport of organs and essential medical supplies rather than chasing criminals.
The official unveiling took place at Lamborghini’s headquarters in Sant’Agata Bolognese, attended by Italian Interior Minister Matteo Piantedosi and Lamborghini CEO Stephan Winkelmann. This addition marks the sixth Lamborghini model to serve the Italian police, continuing a partnership that began in 2004 with the Gallardo.
Over the past two decades, the collaboration has seen the use of models including the Gallardo, Huracán, and Urus Performante. These vehicles have successfully completed more than 200 organ transport missions and participated in over 1,500 road safety education initiatives.
