Italian poll shows Giuseppe Conte level with Giorgia Meloni in public trust

The latest Emg Observatory survey indicates that former prime minister Giuseppe Conte has risen to the same level of public confidence as Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, with both leaders receiving 41 percent support. President Sergio Mattarella remains the most trusted figure, commanding 82 percent approval.

Party preferences are also close: Fratelli d'Italia is at 27.7 percent, the Democratic Party at 21.8 percent, and the Five‑Star Movement at 13.2 percent. Smaller parties such as Futuro Nazionale and Lega hover around 5 percent each. Coalition tallies show the centre‑right at roughly 41.5 percent (46.8 percent if Futuro Nazionale is included) and the centre‑left at about 41.6 percent (45.7 percent with additional allies). The data suggest a near‑tie between the two major political blocs ahead of the next scheduled elections.
