Italian Prison Reintegration Projects Launch in Modena and Reggio Calabria

In Modena, the "Metamorfosi" initiative debuted a series of specially crafted "instruments of the sea" as part of a music‑based program aimed at supporting the reintegration of former inmates. The event featured local officials, cultural foundations and prison‑related organisations, and showcased collaborative projects between the prison S. Anna and community partners such as Mani Tese APS and EORTE’ Cooperativa Sociale.

In Reggio Calabria, the "Reintegra – Dalla comunità al reinserimento sociale e lavorativo" project was presented at the Parco della Mondialità di Gallico. The programme proposes a comprehensive, person‑centred model that combines therapeutic treatment, professional training and active social inclusion for detainees. It involves the Cereso ETS, the Casa dei Giovani, Casa Emmaus of Iglesias and received endorsement from municipal officials, including the city’s welfare assessor and mayor.
