Italian municipalities finalize school services and transport for new academic year

As the 2026-2027 school year approaches, various Italian municipalities and transport providers are finalizing logistics for student services.

In Teramo, officials have issued an urgent appeal to families to complete school canteen registrations. Approximately 300 applications are still missing, which could disrupt service starting September 16. The city is also introducing a digital attendance system via the Planet School app and new procedures for managing special dietary needs.

In Termoli, the canteen schedule has been set, with services for nurseries starting September 7 and primary/infant schools on September 23. Mandatory online registration via Novaportal is required for all students, including returning ones.

In Parma, the list of participants for integrated school services—including pre-school, canteen supervision, and after-school programs—has been published, with 42 services set to launch on September 28.

Regarding transportation, Start Romagna is promoting student subscriptions, including the regional ‘Salta Su’ discount for Emilia-Romagna residents. In Savona, TPL Linea is implementing new annual tariffs for students and seniors effective September 1. Additionally, Autolinee Varesine has announced updated bus schedules to align with school exit times in the Varese province.
