Italian racing circuits implement food waste and disability support programs

Major Italian racing circuits are implementing sustainability and social solidarity programs to combat food waste and support people with disabilities.

At the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli, a partnership with the Comunità Papa Giovanni XXIII provides specialized assistance to fans with disabilities through a team of approximately 40 volunteers. The circuit also works to recover food surpluses from the paddock to prevent waste.

Similarly, the Monza Grand Prix has successfully recovered 3.6 tons of food from catering services and gala dinners. This initiative, involving the Autodromo Nazionale di Monza, ATS Brianza, and local volunteer centers, distributed 2,600 kg of fresh produce and 1,000 kg of dry goods to nine local associations. The effort supported 375 families and 846 individuals in need across the Brianza region.
