Italian racing teams prepare for Barcelona championship rounds

Several Italian racing teams are preparing for upcoming championship rounds in Barcelona at the Montmelò circuit.

In the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe, Rexal Villorba Corse is expanding its presence with six Huracán ST Evo2 entries, including a new crew featuring Philip Truman and Michele Merendino. Meanwhile, championship leader Simone Iaquinta, driving for DL Racing alongside Kevin Gilardoni, enters the penultimate round looking to defend a narrow three-point lead.

In the McLaren Trophy Europe, Modena-based Raptor Engineering returns to competition with two McLaren Artura Trophy Evo cars. The team features a new Pro-Am pairing of Flavio Olivieri and Jody Lambrughi, while Ferdinando D’Auria and Dimitris Papanastasiou continue their pursuit of the championship title.
