Italian rapper Fedez hospitalized with internal bleeding after son's birth

On 16 July 2024 Italian rapper Federico Leonardo, known as Fedez, and his partner Giulia Honegger welcomed their third child, son Edoardo Lupo. A few days later the 36‑year‑old was admitted to a clinic in Rozzano after a ruptured stomach ulcer caused severe internal bleeding, requiring multiple blood transfusions.

Fedez posted an emotional message on Instagram thanking anonymous donors, writing, “I thought my life would end while my son's began.” He noted earlier health scares: a rare pancreatic tumor removed in 2022 and similar bleeding episodes in 2023 that also needed emergency gastroscopy. Following the latest episode he cancelled planned concerts and DJ sets, saying he will heed his body’s warnings and consider a lifestyle change.
