Italian regional authorities launch road safety initiatives for youth
Authorities in Italy are implementing various programs aimed at improving road safety awareness among young people. In the Teramo region, the Asl of Teramo and the Automobile Club d’Italia (ACI) have signed a collaboration agreement to combine health expertise with mobility experience. This partnership focuses on preventing accidents by addressing risk factors such as speeding, smartphone distractions, and the use of alcohol or drugs.
In Terni, the Province has conducted the second session of the “Tante Strade, una sola Vita” project. High school students participated in practical training at the Centro per l’Autonomia, utilizing driving simulators and testing equipment for alcohol and drug detection. The initiative involved local police forces and provincial authorities to educate students on responsible driving behaviors and traffic regulations.
