Italian regional business reports show Bolzano leadership and Southern growth

Recent economic data highlights diverse growth trends across Italy's regional business landscapes. According to a study by CNA, the province of Bolzano has emerged as a highly dynamic entrepreneurial hub, ranking 13th nationally with 91.5 businesses per 1,000 inhabitants. This outperforms Trento, which ranks 48th with 80.2 businesses per 1,000 inhabitants.

Simultaneously, analysis from the Unimpresa Study Center based on 2025 electronic invoicing shows significant turnover growth. While Italy's total taxable base rose by 2.6% to 3,390.9 billion euros, the southern regions experienced growth exceeding the national average, with rates rising above 5%. Basilicata notably ranked fifth in Italy for its percentage of turnover increase.

The data indicates that businesses and non-individual entities drove nearly 98% of the total turnover increase, contributing 83.7 billion euros. While northern regions continue to produce the majority of total output, the southern regions are showing marked momentum in growth rates.
