Italian regional initiatives launch new school-to-work orientation programs

New educational and vocational orientation initiatives are being launched in the Italian regions of Belluno and Brescia to bridge the gap between schooling and the labor market.

In Belluno, the “Preparàti al futuro: ponti tra scuola e impresa” project has been established to support local youth. Led by the IUSVE “Giovani e Futuro” Observatory and supported by a 300,000 euro grant from Fondazione Cariverona, the initiative aims to involve up to 1,800 high school students over two academic years. The program includes personal coaching, immersive workshops, and problem-solving challenges designed to encourage young talent to remain and invest in the local community. Key partners include the Belluno-Treviso Chamber of Commerce and Ablògos – Human Competence Center.

In Brescia, Confindustria Brescia has announced the fourth edition of its “Futuriamoci” project. Scheduled to run between autumn 2026 and spring 2027, the program expands its focus to include guidance for life after graduation. The initiative utilizes webinars, live shows, and expert-led sessions to assist students, teachers, and families in navigating educational and professional choices. Previous editions of the project reached thousands of students and hundreds of educators across the province.
