Italian Regional Leaders Debate Infrastructure Funding

Provincial president Fausto Picone of Salerno asked regional governor Roberto Fico for an urgent meeting to discuss the future of the Valle Ufita logistics platform, describing it as a strategic infrastructure project for Irpinia and warning against possible defunding.

In Trentino, President Maurizio Fugatti defended his administration's budget choices, highlighting investments in health, water systems, e‑bike sharing, and other public works funded by the PNRR and provincial revenues. Fugatti emphasized the region’s economic growth, increased family allowances, and improvements in mobility and social services.
