Italian regional theatre festivals reach final performances

Several regional theatre festivals in Italy are reaching their concluding stages.

The seventh edition of Festival Piazze, an offshoot of Urbino Teatro Urbano organized by the University of Urbino Carlo Bo, concludes in Macerata Feltria. The final program includes a performance of ‘La Mandragola’ by Stivalaccio Teatro, a tribute to Machiavelli’s Renaissance comedy through the Commedia dell’Arte style. Additionally, the Teatro Battelli youth laboratory will present ‘Diavolo perdonali perché non sanno quello che fanno’.

Simultaneously, the seventh edition of the Terre del Vescovado Teatro Festival, curated by Albanoarte Teatro Ets, is entering its final phase. Upcoming performances include the national premiere of ‘Attilio’ featuring Flavia Ripa in Orio al Serio, a production by Les Moustaches in Chiuduno titled ‘I cuori battono nelle uova’, and a collective ritual performance of ‘Pinocchio / che cos’è una persona?’ by Davide Iodice in Seriate.
