Italian regional wine festivals celebrate local viticulture and traditions

Various regional wine and food festivals have taken place across Italy, highlighting local viticulture and traditions.

In Umbertide, the ‘Calici sotto la Rocca’ event was held at Piazza Fortebracci. Organized by the Associazione Pro-Loco Umbertide and Slow Food Alta Umbria APS, the evening featured tastings from numerous local wineries, including Cantina Blasi, Donini, and Tenuta Morganti. The event combined wine tasting with traditional Umbrian gastronomy and visits to the historic Rocca.

In Campoli del Monte Taburno, the XXII edition of ‘Calici di Stelle’ took place from August 8 to 10. Organized by the Forum dei Giovani, the festival focused on the identity of the Sannio region through wine, music, and local food. Highlights included the ‘Taburno Winetour’ in collaboration with Cantina Terre Caudium and musical performances by La Paranza Madonna di Bagni and the Siderali.
