Italian regions announce 2026 funding programmes for early education orientation and palliative care

The Piedmont regional government released a public tender for the "Azioni di orientamento precoce e a sostegno delle prime transizioni" programme covering 2026‑2028. Backed by €11 million from the EU FSE+ fund, the call seeks temporary groups of accredited operators to provide orientation and support services for children, adolescents, young adults and their families as they transition between school, vocational training, university and the labour market. Applications are accepted online from 18 August 2026 until 18 September 2026.

In the Marche region, the Azienda Sanitaria Territoriale of Ancona issued a five‑year public notice to appoint a director for a complex unit overseeing palliative care and hospice services across the province. The initiative implements the regional 2026‑2027 plan to expand 24‑hour home care for patients with advanced oncological or neuro‑degenerative diseases, integrating pain management, psychological, social and spiritual support and coordinating with hospitals, local associations and families.
