Italian regions unveil major industrial plan updates and funding programs

The Lazio regional government presented an updated industrial plan, highlighting continued economic growth with a projected 2% increase in 2025, a 9.7% rise in exports and higher investment propensity. The plan emphasizes balancing manufacturing with advanced services and involves collaboration with industry association Unindustria to target infrastructure and internationalisation of firms.

In Abruzzo, the regional agency ARAP announced an extraordinary programme for the industrial districts of Val di Sangro, Vasto and San Salvo. Funding of €7 million for the Val di Sangro area (UT2) and €5.4 million for Vasto and San Salvo (UT6) is allocated to road works, public lighting, water and sewage networks, and other upgrades, with contracts already awarded and works scheduled to run through 2027‑2028. The initiatives aim to modernise ageing infrastructure and support the competitiveness of the region’s industrial clusters.
