Italian religious communities hold celebrations for local clergy

Several religious communities in Italy recently held celebrations to honor long-serving clergy and mark significant milestones.

In Oggiono, the San Giovanni Battista Pastoral Community gathered to bid farewell to Father Maurizio Mottadelli after eighteen years of service. A community mass was held in Oggiono to recognize his leadership across the parishes of Oggiono, Imberido, Annone, and Ello. A letter read on his behalf expressed deep gratitude for his dedication to building the pastoral community while respecting the individual identities of the various parishes.

In San Bassano, the local pastoral unit celebrated the 60th anniversary of Father Mario Dellacorna’s priestly ordination. The event included a mass presided over by Dellacorna, attended by local administrators and clergy. Additionally, the community held an oratory festival featuring a musical titled ‘Vai Francesco’, which depicted the life of Saint Francis of Assisi, and held a farewell event for seminarian Nicolò De Maestri following his two years of service.
