Italian Republic honors Leonardo Doronzo and Leonardo De Amicis

Two individuals have been honored with distinctions from the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic.

Monsignor Leonardo Doronzo, a priest from the Archdiocese of Trani, has been conferred the honor of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic. The recognition follows his extensive service within the Military Ordinariate as a chaplain and his various high-responsibility roles within the diocese. Doronzo, currently the parish administrator for S. Maria della Vittoria in Barletta, was recognized for his dedicated ecclesial service.

Additionally, Leonardo De Amicis, an artist and former artistic director of the Perdonanza Celestiniana, has been appointed a Commander of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic. De Amicis expressed deep gratitude to President Sergio Mattarella for the prestigious recognition, noting that the appointment honors his long career in music and the performing arts.
