Italian residents report municipal maintenance failures in Pescara and Palermo
Residents in Pescara and Palermo are reporting significant issues regarding municipal maintenance and public infrastructure.
In Pescara, a resident in via del Santuario has reported that unmanaged municipal trees are encroaching on private property. The lack of pruning has caused branches and debris to clog gutters, leading to potential water infiltration. The resident noted that they must spend over 1,000 euros annually on specialized cleaning services to prevent flooding.
In Palermo, a resident in the Zisa district reported that a manhole at the corner of via Vito La Mantia and via Vito D'Anna has remained obstructed for approximately one year. Despite multiple reports to the municipal call center and the mayor's office, the blockage continues to cause significant puddling and impede pedestrian movement. Additionally, a pothole has appeared in recently repaired asphalt on via Vito D'Anna shortly after construction concluded.
