Italian road collisions injure multiple drivers in Buonconvento and Caravaggio

On 2 July 2026 a head‑on crash on provincial road 103 near Castello di Bibbiano in Buonconvento, Tuscany, involved two cars. Two occupants—a 31‑year‑old man and a 29‑year‑old woman—were taken to the Policlinico Santa Maria alle Scotte in Siena; the man was treated for less serious injuries (green code) while the woman was admitted in critical condition (red code).

On 1 July 2026 a collision on provincial road 132 near Caravaggio in Lombardy involved three vehicles and five occupants aged 19 to 55. The 20‑year‑old driver of a Citroën C1 suffered the most serious injuries, was rescued in red code and transferred to intensive‑care, though later reports said she was no longer in life‑threatening danger. The other victims sustained minor injuries. Emergency services, including ambulances, medical‑cars and fire brigades, secured both sites and supported the injured.
