Italian rowing and swimming clubs record multiple titles in 2026 season
Club Sportivo Urania of Vernazzola, Genoa, celebrated its 12th consecutive Italian FICSF championship in the Gozzo specialty and finished second in the Elba ranking with 26 podium finishes. Over the past 16 years the club amassed 57 titles out of 70 national events, produced multiple Italian and European champions, and entered its centenary year in 2026 with eight titles already secured at the national championships.
The Nuoto Uisp 2003 team from Cascina concluded a record‑breaking season on 21 July 2026, placing 71 athletes in finals across 299 races at the Livorno regional championships. The squad ranked fourth among juniors and ninth overall, winning seven gold, six silver and six bronze medals. Standout performances came from Diego Salvini (three freestyle titles), Lorenzo Guidotti, Alessandro Sonetti, Alessio Ganetti and Asia Rossi, many of whom qualified for upcoming national championships in Rome.
