Italian rugby clubs launch community outreach and coaching initiatives

Rugby clubs in Italy are launching new initiatives to promote the sport and its educational values within their local communities.

In Bergamo, Rugby Bergamo 1950, in collaboration with the municipal Sports Department, has launched the ‘Rugby Village Tour’. This project aims to bring the sport directly into city parks and public spaces to engage children, youth, and families. The initiative seeks to use rugby as a tool for teaching respect, collaboration, and inclusion, starting from the recently managed Campo Utili in via Baioni.

Meanwhile, the Grosseto Rugby Club is expanding its local project by seeking new volunteer coaches and educators. The club is looking for individuals passionate about community growth and sports, offering training and support to those without prior experience to help them become certified coaches through the Italian Rugby Federation (FIR).
