Italian sailors perform strongly at IQFoil World Championships

Italian sailors have shown strong performances during the second day of the 2026 IQFoil and ILCA6 World Championships. In Weymouth, Medea Falcioni has moved into fourth place in the women’s IQFoil category with 44 net points, trailing the leader, Israel’s Tamar Steinberg, and sitting nine points behind third-place Australian Stella Bilger.

In the men’s IQFoil competition, Nicolò Renna maintains fifth place with 19 points, closely following Tom Reuveny. Other notable Italian results in Weymouth include Leonardo Tomasini in tenth and Federico Alan Pilloni in eleventh.

In Dublin, Chiara Benini Floriani has made a significant comeback in the ILCA6 class. Following a difficult first day, she secured a fifth and sixth place in her recent races, climbing to ninth place overall with 24 net points.
