Italian schools and university host biodiversity and plastic‑free education events
Students from the Liceo Scientifico Marinelli and a primary school in Udine completed the “Green Agents” project with hands‑on activities that included flower microscopy, butterfly‑pollinator studies and the planting of native species in a new biodiversity area, supported by the local botanical garden and municipal staff.
At the Politecnico di Milano’s Lecco campus, 46 international university students joined a sustainability day organized with Plastic Free Onlus. After a virtual talk by Global Strategy Director Silvia Pettinicchio, participants collected about 20 kg of plastic waste from the campus grounds. “È stata una mattinata molto positiva, perché abbiamo incontrato studenti attenti, curiosi e realmente interessati ai temi ambientali,” said Plastic Free representative Ornella Pozzoni.
