Italian schools hold ceremonies honoring student excellence and diplomas

On July 10, the Convitto Nazionale di Salerno hosted a ceremony to revive the Premio delle Eccellenze and inaugurate the Liber Excellentiae. The event, led by Rector Claudio Naddeo, recognized top‑performing students from the Liceo Classico Europeo and several vocational tracks for achieving the highest scores in state exams. Guests included alumni, academic representatives and local industry partners, underscoring the link between the school, university and the regional economy.

In Livorno, the Scuola di lingua e cultura italiana della Comunità di Sant’Egidio celebrated the graduation of more than 150 participants. Seventy‑three diplomas and sixty attendance certificates were awarded to learners from 31 countries, highlighting the institution’s multicultural focus. The ceremony featured cultural outings, peace‑related activities and testimonies about the school’s role as a “space of freedom” for newcomers preparing for Italian citizenship.
