Italian schools implement vocational training and report enrollment trends

Educational initiatives and enrollment figures are shaping the new school year in various Italian regions. In the provinces of Ascoli Piceno and Fermo, the Consolato dei Maestri del Lavoro is expanding its 'Testimonianza Formativa' program. Following a previous year that reached 1,370 students across 75 classes, the initiative aims to prioritize primary schools, focusing on safety culture, transversal skills, and supply chain management.

These training sessions are provided free of charge and are recognized under a protocol between Federmaestri and the Ministry of Education and Merit. The program also facilitates guided visits to local businesses to bridge the gap between students and the professional world.

In Prato, the Catholic school coordination under the Diocese reports stable enrollment for the 2026-2027 academic year. The network of 18 schools manages 2,470 students across 132 classes, ranging from nurseries to high schools. The student body includes 618 foreign students, representing 25% of the total. To support these services, the number of teachers has increased from 268 to 300.
