Italian students earn top marks in 2026 state exams

Students at several Italian secondary schools have achieved the highest possible scores in the 2026 Esami di Stato. At the Dell’Acqua school in Legnano, three pupils received 100/100, with one also earning a lode. The Artom institute in Asti and Canelli reported dozens of centesimi, including a number of 100 / 100 with honors across technical and scientific tracks. The Istituto Alberghiero “De Cecco” in Pescara saw sixteen students obtain the maximum grade, two of them with lode, highlighting the institution’s extensive vocational curriculum and industry partnerships. At the IIS Alfieri in Asti, seven students earned 100/100, several with lode, after participating in projects such as Erasmus + and a sister‑city program with China. In a notable personal story, Domintilla, an 18‑year‑old student with Down syndrome from Perugia, graduated from the Liceo Artistico “Bernardino di Betto” with a 77/100 score, securing the right to pursue university studies. The Artom director praised the achievements, saying, “Qui sono rappresentate le eccellenze dei vari indirizzi, ma ricordiamo che moltissimi altri studenti hanno raggiunto votazioni importanti e significative.” These results underscore a broader trend of academic excellence across diverse Italian schools.
