Italian Serie D clubs bolster defenses with new signings

Marsala announced the signing of central defender Davide Dama, a 2001‑born player with 183 Serie D appearances, including 23 for Milazzo last season. Dama, who previously played for clubs such as Paternò, Gozzano, Licata and Messina and spent time in Bologna’s youth system, joins Marsala as part of its squad building for the 2026/27 campaign.

Arezzo completed a loan deal for right‑back Marlon Mena Martínez from Parma. The 2006‑born defender, a product of Parma’s academy, holds dual Italian‑Dominican nationality and has already featured for the Dominican Republic senior team. He signed a loan until the end of the season after extending his Parma contract to 2029, aiming to gain experience in Tuscany’s roster.

Both clubs view the acquisitions as key steps to strengthen their backlines ahead of the upcoming season.
