Italian Serie D clubs Sporting Ponte and Ancona announce new signings

Sporting Ponte confirmed the signing of seasoned midfielder Giulio Fusco and extended the contract of young forward Angelo Russo for the 2026‑27 season after the club's promotion to Eccellenza. Fusco, a 1993‑born former Palmese captain and Serie D best‑midfielder award winner, returns to his native area, while Russo, born in 2008, contributed ten goals to the promotion campaign.

Meanwhile, Ancona, coached by Agenore Maurizi, added Roma loanee Samuele Belmonte, a versatile forward and attacking midfielder born in 2006, and re‑signed midfielder Tommaso Proromo (2006) following an injury lay‑off. Both clubs emphasise blending experienced players with emerging talent as they prepare for the upcoming Serie D season.
