Italian Singer Valerio Scanu Describes Traumatic Work‑Related Fight

Valerio Scanu, the 2010 Sanremo winner, appeared on the podcast “The Man Under the Hood” hosted by Mauro Mohoric. He recounted a recent, “heavy” argument with a woman he described as “very rude” that occurred in an artistic setting, possibly during a performance. Scanu said the incident was so shocking that he initially could not remember the exact words exchanged, only the fact that he felt mistreated.

He explained that, after two nearby witnesses reminded him of the conversation, he recalled the details and said, “Ah, ecco cosa mi aveva detto!” He emphasized that the dispute was unexpected and took place while his work was going well. Scanu chose not to reveal the woman’s identity, referring to her as “grandissima… maleducata.” The singer also mentioned that the episode contributed to his being placed on a Mediaset blacklist and to strained relations with Belen Rodriguez, though the focus of the interview was the traumatic nature of the fight.

Scanu noted that when he experiences a traumatic event, he tends to forget the specifics while retaining the memory of the event itself, stating, “Se vivo un evento traumatico, dimentico quello che è successo, non dimentico l’evento.”
