Italian social cooperatives to showcase inclusion and culture in Tokyo

To commemorate the 160th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Italy and Japan, several Italian social cooperatives and organizations will participate in events at the Italian Embassy in Tokyo in late October.

Corinna Lattanzi, representing the Cuore21 association from Novafeltria, will lead a workshop on the traditional Romagnolo piadina. The initiative, which follows an invitation from the Minister for Disabilities, aims to showcase regional culinary traditions and the personal growth achieved through inclusive social programs.

Additionally, the Frolla Microbiscottificio cooperative from Osimo will send a delegation to Tokyo. The group intends to present their model of professional inclusion, which currently supports 37 individuals with disabilities. Their participation includes talks and a gala dinner where their specialized “BanZen” biscuits will be served, highlighting how inclusive labor practices serve as a valuable asset to the Italian system.
