Italian Sora‑Frosinone Highway Danger Prompts UIL Police Call for Urgent Action

The union UIL Polizia has warned that vegetation overgrowth, stray branches and hidden signage on the S. S. V. Sora‑Frosinone‑Ferentino and Sora‑Avezzano‑Cassino routes have turned the roads into a “vegetable jungle”, creating serious safety hazards for motorists and police officers.

In an official note addressed to Prefect Giuseppe Ranieri of Frosinone, with copies to Questore Stanislao Caruso and road‑police chief Valentina Lollobattista, the union demanded an urgent technical table with the prefecture and the road‑owner ANAS to launch immediate maintenance, pruning, clearing of road margins and restoration of visible traffic signs.

The roads are strategic arteries for the Ciociaria region, carrying high volumes of light and heavy traffic, and the union stresses that the present neglect heightens the risk of accidents, sudden lane changes and potential fines that cannot be enforced due to obscured signage.
