Italian Sport and Peripheries 2026 Funding: Municipalities Opened for Evaluation

The Italian Department for Sport has posted provisional lists of all municipalities eligible for the 2026 Sport and Peripheries funding programme. Municipalities highlighted in bold are admitted to evaluation within the limits of available resources for new facilities or major renovation and efficiency projects. These bolded municipalities must upload their project documentation to the reserved platform area within the deadlines set by article 8, paragraph 2 of the notice, which now serves as a legal notification starting the peremptory period.

Projects submitted by the admitted municipalities will be reviewed by the departmental commission, which will assign final scores and compile the definitive list of entities eligible for contributions. Municipalities placed beyond the financial capacity may still submit documentation under article 8, paragraph 3, but such submissions do not guarantee funding or create any expectation of a positive assessment.

The published lists are provisional and will be superseded after the commission’s evaluation phase.
