Italian sports community mourns deaths of Nicola Daleno and Roberto Luoni

The Italian sports community is mourning the loss of two notable figures, Nicola Daleno and Roberto Luoni.

Nicola Daleno, a former professional footballer, has passed away at the age of 75. Daleno was a prominent defender and captain, most notably for Maceratese between 1979 and 1982, where he helped the team win the Serie D championship. His career also included significant stints with Sambenedettese, where he contributed to their promotion to Serie B, as well as Teramo, Mantova, Latina, and Nereto.

In the volleyball community, Roberto Luoni has died suddenly while on vacation. A respected coach in the Lombardy region, particularly within the Varese province, Luoni was a pillar of Duo Volley Castellanza. He was recognized not only for his technical expertise but for his ability to mentor generations of female athletes and foster team unity.
