Italian sports culture highlighted through gymnastics and theater

In Girifalco, former Italian national rhythmic gymnastics captain Alessia Maurelli led a special training stage for young athletes. The event, organized in collaboration with the Centro Sportivo Educativo Nazionale (Csen), focused on promoting sporting values such as commitment and determination. Local municipal authorities provided an institutional greeting and floral tribute to honor her professional career.

In Gavirate, Teatro Blu is presenting “La Regina delle Nevi,” a theatrical production centered on the life and career of alpine skier Debora Compagnoni. The performance explores the Olympic spirit, tracing themes from ancient Greece to modern achievements. It highlights Compagnoni’s journey, including her Olympic gold medals, injuries, and the resilience required to overcome professional challenges.
