Italian sports update: Battipagliese signs new talent and volleyball national team concludes Urbino tournament

Polisportiva Battipagliese has announced the signing of two young basketball talents, Aurora Fajardo and Giulia Cola, to its Serie A1 Femminile roster. Fajardo, an 184cm forward from Spain, joins from Umana Reyer Venezia, while Cola, a 178cm forward from Rome, joins following stints with clubs including Sistema Rosa Pordenone. Both players will compete in Serie A1, Serie B, and the Under 19 Next Gen championship.

In volleyball, the Italy Women's National B team concluded an international triangular tournament in Urbino as part of their preparation for the Mediterranean Games in Taranto. Under coach Carlo Parisi, the team faced Greece and Sweden. While the team secured a victory against Greece, they narrowly lost to Sweden 3-2 in a five-set match. The squad will continue training in Darfo Boario with upcoming friendly matches scheduled against Romania.
