In Italian motorsport, Filippo Bianchi is nearing the conclusion of a dominant 2026 CIV Sportbike season. Riding an Aprilia RS 660, the 21-year-old holds 162 points, significantly ahead of Emiliano Ercolani and Samuel Di Sora. With only two rounds remaining in Cremona and Vallelunga, Bianchi appears poised to secure the title.

In Italian fencing, the Federazione Italiana Scherma (FIS) has confirmed that Rome will host the 2026 Frecciarossa Italian Absolute Fencing Championships for both Olympic and Paralympic disciplines in 2027. Following the success of the 2026 event at Terrazza del Pincio, the championships are scheduled for May 31 to June 6, 2027. FIS President Luigi Mazzone cited high public participation and the venue's prestige as key factors in the decision.
