Italian sports venues near completion of major renovation projects

The Varese Turf & Sport racecourse in Biumo Inferiore has completed about 90% of its refurbishment, with new spectator stands, upgraded irrigation, and ongoing inspections by the Ministry of Agriculture on July 2 and the municipality on July 6. The venue aims to resume horse racing on July 18, pending final approvals.

In Portogruaro, the municipal velodrome within the P. G. Mecchia stadium has finished its resurfacing and structural repairs. The new technical track surface meets the Italian Cycling Federation standards, and the facility is now back in use by local sports clubs. The next step is formal homologation before official competitions can resume.
