Italian sports: Volleyball debut in Serie B and football legends honored

In Italian sports, Città di Castello's volleyball team has made a strong debut in Serie B, Group E. Supported by a crowd of at least 800 fans at Pala Joan, the team overcame an initial period of tension to secure a victory. Key players included Roberto Bongiorno and the defensive efforts of Troiani, helping the team manage the pressure from Sirdeco/Bertoli.

In football, former players Fabio Bazzani and Corrado Pilleddu were honored during a match at Marassi. Bazzani, a former legend, received a plaque during Sampdoria's 80th-anniversary celebrations. Pilleddu, a former Arezzo player, joined the 1,500 Arezzo supporters in the away section to witness the team's historic victory.
