Italian State Police launch cyberbullying prevention campaign
The Italian State Police is conducting a nationwide awareness and prevention initiative titled ‘Una Vita da Social – Action Week’. This extraordinary campaign, part of the 14th edition of the ‘Una Vita da Social’ educational project, aims to combat cyberbullying and digital violence following recent incidents involving minors.
In Eastern Sicily, specialized cyber security units from Catania, Messina, Ragusa, and Siracusa are engaging with students in schools and youth gathering places. The program focuses on preventing various forms of online abuse, including cyberbullying, sextortion, and the non-consensual distribution of intimate images.
Beyond addressing current threats, the initiative seeks to educate young people on the risks posed by evolving technology, promoting safer and more responsible digital citizenship. The project is expected to continue over the coming months to reach thousands of students across the country.
