Italy launches initiatives to combat bullying and cyberbullying

Italian institutions and law enforcement are launching coordinated efforts to combat bullying and cyberbullying among youth. At the CONI headquarters in Rome, organizations including Asc, Uni, Fidae, and Accredia held a summit titled ‘Oltre il bullismo’ (Beyond Bullying). The discussion focused on the UNI 12000:2025 standard, which establishes requirements for managing bullying and cyberbullying in sports and recreational organizations to create safer environments for minors.

Simultaneously, the Polizia di Stato is conducting a nationwide educational campaign called ‘Una Vita da Social – Action Week’. Through the Postal Police, officers are visiting schools and youth centers across Italy, including locations in Castrolibero and Trapani, to address digital risks. These sessions educate students on topics such as sextortion, the non-consensual sharing of intimate images, and the psychological impacts of online aggression, aiming to promote responsible and safe digital citizenship.
