Italian street food ventures open in Adelaide and London
New Italian-inspired culinary ventures are opening in Adelaide and London, focusing on regional street food traditions.
In Glynde, Adelaide, Strada Food Industry has opened on Provident Avenue. Owned by Daniel and led by executive chef Sam Smith, the venue describes itself as a “street deli, but refined.” The menu emphasizes seasonality and local producers, featuring traditional Neapolitan items such as Cuzzetiello—a crusty bread hollowed out and filled with various ingredients.
In Southfields, London, La Finestra is celebrating its first anniversary. Founded by Stefano Liantonio and Giammarco Calemma, the small street-front shop specializes in authentic Puglian focaccia. The business originated as a creative solution to limited commercial space, allowing customers to order through a window. The menu utilizes traditional ingredients including mortadella, burrata, speck, and gorgonzola.
