Italian students lead educational and urban redevelopment initiatives
In Crotone, students ranging from five to eighteen years old participated in Erasmus Day through the initiative ‘Generations of Europe: growing together through Erasmus+’. Held at the Liceo classico Pitagora, the event brought together three different levels of education—infant, middle, and high school—to discuss international mobility and innovative teaching methodologies. School principal Natascia Senatore highlighted the importance of building synergies between different educational institutions to foster a shared European identity.
In Asti, the GET UP project is concluding with the inauguration of urban and school redevelopment works designed by approximately 200 students aged 15 to 17. Funded through the ministerial ‘DesTEENazione’ measure, the project allowed students from various local institutes to identify community needs and manage budgets to improve local green spaces and school areas. The initiative aims to promote active citizenship and strengthen the dialogue between young people and local institutions.
