Italian Summer Festivals Attract Thousands and Highlight Local culture

From 20 July 2026 the CapracottaCammina group in Capracotta will resume daily summer hikes, running each weekday until 22 August 2026. Walks begin at 08:30 and finish by 13:00, with meeting points in Piazza Falconi or Largo Sartori. The municipality and volunteers manage routes, safety and equipment advice for participants.

The 25th Campovalano Truffle Festival in Campli (July 6‑12) distributed more than 83 000 food and drink items and recorded nearly 4 000 visitors to the nearby necropolis. About 140 volunteers coordinated three daily shifts, handling preparation, service, cash, parking and emergency safety. The event involved local authorities, universities and museums, and featured special truffle‑based dishes that drew large family attendance.
